Because Blender has a lot of possibilities I learn everything with very small steps.
Hopefully there will be more members who are interested.
But be warned, Blender is as addictive as Gimp...

This is the very first work I made in Blender.

My Blender work - Ella
My Blender work - EllaFor all the blender work I made so far, I appealed to video tutorials I found on the web.

For this one I had to start all over again several times.

Nice work! The guitar is very well made. The lighting in all the renderings is very good, as well! I struggle a lot with this.
If you didn't see them yet, I'd recomend (on youtube) Blender Guru Beginner Series. It's a very nice little-course where he explains lot of the fundamentals of the software. I started with these videos and was never more proud of a donut in my entire life. ![]() You seem to have a good grasp of the software already, so I'd also recommend looking in some texturing tutorials - the material in the guitar, for example, is very good, but it would look even better if you could see the relief of the wood interacting with the light in the scene, as well as making the reflection of the wood more ''uneven''. This can be achieved with Normal maps and Roughness maps; It sounds very strange in text, in videos tutorial it makes much more sense. This tutorial made by Chocofur teaches a very easy way to achieve this look. (Also I didn't realized there was a Blender sub-forum. I will post some projects I have later.)
@skinnyhouse Thank you for your interest.
I have worked on some of the work for weeks. Not continuously of course but by saving my unfinished project several times. Add to that the time of starting all over again or finding the courage to continue ![]() Then indeed it takes a lot of time. But that's also true with your numerous Gimp contributions... @tim Thank you for your encouragement. @Dionísio Thanks for commenting on my Blender work Dionísio. I also have a lot of trouble with the lighting. That's why I'm following tutorials that go into that in detail. The Blender Guru Beginner Series are indeed very instructive. But as I wrote before, in Blender are many possibilities so the learning process is very slow, at least for me. I don't understand the software that well yet that I can adjust the relief in the wood myself. Even with the explanation of the tutorial of Chocofur. Still thanks for the link. You can never know too much. By the way, it is not a guitar but a ukulele. It has only four strings ![]() ![]() Tim just recently added the Blender sub forum because I regularly posted a Blender piece in my thread.
